Campfire Stories: Neverwas Nonesuch
When I was growing up, my favorite part of camping was the evening campfire.
I come from a big family that all liked to camp together which made our camps a bit like a large compound. Or a circled up tent train.
There was lots of watchful Parents, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles and a big passel of kids that ran free during the day and at night, everyone would settle in around a huge bonfire where the memories and stories of the adults were shared.
As a kid I would sit mesmerized and listen to the stories my elders would recant and I can remember asking my Dad on several occasions, “Did that really happen?” to which he’d usually reply “A good part of it…”
I still love a good campfire story and every once in awhile I’ll come across a writer who can capture via the written word the type of stories I grew up listening to. Today I wanted to share a fellow Outdoor Blogger/Author that has done just that.
