Another (free) Picture Editor

piclogoI’m always on the hunt for (free) programs on the Internet that make my time maintaining websites…easier.

Last year I wrote a post called Graphics, Icons, Banners and Photo Generators and mentioned several websites I use to help my image processing. In the comment section The Sportsman’s Wife mentioned she used the site Picmonkey.com to edit photos and really liked it.

I finally went over, tried it out and I’m here to second her endorsement!

The free version is fantastic. It doesn’t sneak any overlays or infringements on your image. It doesn’t make you post onto a social network to get your edited creation and it doesn’t hold out on the important editing tools.

picmonkey1There is an upgraded version that gives you more options — fonts, overlays, etc — and they look great, but the free options are plentiful.

I love it’s simplicity, no instruction manual needed. Enjoy PicMonkey

Because Camp Bandits Robbed me blind and I took a picture of one of the suspects, I made this in their honor….

I have yet to try this – thanks for the reminder.

Nice share. I have a Chromebook that only does web based software. I’ve been goofing around with PicMonkey since I first read your post earlier today. Good stuff.

I didn’t know that about the Chromebook (I was looking at one for my daughters Christmas present) and I’m glad you’re liking it. Too many of the free programs hold out on the good stuff, but Picmonkey seems like the full deal.

Rebecca, good work! I have used PicMonkey a few times. My blog header is done with this free use software. Hope others check out what they can do, too.
