A Much Needed Return to the Gear Review Opportunities!!! Free Country Jackets!

As  I mentioned in the Friday notes last week, we plan to get back in the swing of things with some Gear Review Opportunities for all our faithful bloggers – those of you who endured this past summer of disarray.  Well – let’s kick things off with a company new to the OBN community!

Free Country has approached the OBN and offered up one jacket for the ladies and one for the men.  These are softshell two-tone medium weight jackets that look great for just about everything I can think of.  For more info about thejackets and the company, we’ll go directly to their website:

About Free Country:  Since 1990, Free Country has manufactured casual outerwear and active wear inspired by a modern, active lifestyle.  We take a different approach to outerwear by creating compelling designs through a fusion of active performance and fashion.  From the beginning, the company founder - Ira Schwartz - had a vision “to market and merchandise a lifestyle which reflects the philosophy of doing one’s own thing – creating authentic outerwear with a not-too-serious attitude, that people will have fun wearing.”   Free Country apparel can be found in retail outlets such as Bass Pro Shops, Kohl’s, JC Penney, and Fred Meyer, among others.

So – here’s your opportunity to put one of these great looking jackets to use and tell the world about it! Up for grabs, 1 lucky Lady Outdoor Blogger and Mr. Outdoor Blogger will soon be sporting one of these jackets to test out, enjoy and review:

Up first is the Women’s Valley Softshell Jacket.

The Valley jacket in bonded 3-layer softshell combines the best rain and wind repellency with the coziness of micro-fleece.  Twin off-axis chest zippers in pop colors speak to the skier in all of us. Drop back contrast color hem glints inner beauty on and off the mountain.

For the Men, Free Country is offering a men’s Granite Softshell Jacket.

The Granite men’s Softshell two tone jacket is both stylish and functional. The bonded stretch shell fabric with fleece interior backing, is perfect for performance layering; wear it alone in milder temperatures or layered for those extra cold days. There are multiple outer zipper pockets, in addition to an inner pocket for the safe keeping of your cell phone, wallet or music player.

It’s Time to Get Your Comment In: As a reminder, gear review opportunities are open to all Outdoor Bloggers who have their blog listed on the Outdoor Blogger Directory. You leave a comment saying you’re interested and next week we’ll use the random number generator to pick two lucky winners from the comment pool. It’s that simple!

But wait…another refresher:

Before you pull that comment trigger: Gear Review Opportunity is open to OBN Members with an Active Blog on the Outdoor Blogger Directory. By Commenting on this Entry you confirm you have read the Reviewer Guidelines and agree to the terms and conditions. Comments will be accepted until Tuesday at 2 p.m. MST. Winning comment (s) will be selected by the Random Number Generator and announced this coming Tuesday on the OBN. Please check back to see if the RNG has shined upon you, we don’t track down winners…

Ok, NOW go ahead and comment! We’ll pick winners next Tuesday and announce them here. Good luck and thank you Free Country for giving the Outdoor Bloggers this opportunity.
