OBN Friday Notes: 6/8

This last week on the OBN has been pretty exciting.

First off, we announced the winners in the Coleman Heritage Contest. If you haven’t had a chance, be sure to check out the top 3 winning entries:

Then we slowly tortured the participants of the Trout Unlimited Blogger Tour 2012 contest by slow rolling the winners all day Monday.  If you missed the announcements, be sure to check out the post, and definitely check out the two Grand Prize winners posts:

I have to say it again, congratulations to all of the winners!!!

In other news:

Over on the Outdoor Blogging Tips section of the OBN, I posted a helpful hint about using what I’ve deemed an Online Calling Card in various online hubs.

It’s an About Me page you can set up, use in your email signature lines, link to from various social sites and help consolidate all your hangouts.

Check out the post here: Online Calling Card: About Me

Around the Outdoor Blogging Community:

aquaFire Fishing is having a Bass Fishing Contest that runs from now until November. Show your Bass pictures and win some cool prizes! Contest Details Here: aquaFire Bass Fishing Contest

Tales of a Mountain Mama reviewed some fantastic summer outdoor clothing for kids and with that, she is giving away iPlay swimwear for the little ones. Go check it out: Outfitting the Kids for Summer + iPlay giveaway (ends June 12th)

A special gift

A Share: I wanted to share this story I discovered from the Community News.

Over on Snug Harbor Bay, I read about how Kim wanted a very special gift for a graduation present. By searching and connecting with another OBN member, she was able to have Ed from The Four Seasons Angler build a custom and quite special rod.

Now you should go read the story, look at all the pictures and enjoy the smile it will give you. The post is here: Chablis & Her Custom Rod

Ok, that’s it for this week!

~ Joe and I wish you all a wonderful Outdoor kind of weekend ~
