GreenFish Photo Contest and Giveaway

Today we are excited to bring back
GreenFish – Fishing Apparel Promoting a Lifestyle of Sustainable Fishing
For another awesome giveaway here on the OBN.

Hands Free Camera Mount

Look Ma, No Hands!

GreenFish has just released their first non-apparel gear, a Hands Free Camera Mount and we are celebrating that release here with a Photo Contest and BIG Prizes.

Now, before I get to the giveaway, let’s take a look at this innovative piece of gear because if you go fishing on a kayak, canoe, boat, or waterwheel, you know how hard it is to juggle watercraft, rod, net, fish AND a Camera.

GreenFish has your solution.

GreenFish “CPR” (Catch, Photo, Release) Camera Mount. A hands-free camera mount for all your fishing/boating needs:

GreenFish Hands Free Camera MountNow you can capture epic battles digitally, using most cameras including the popular Go Pro in a kayak, skiff or sport fisher. Through our patent pending Expansion Locking technology, the CPR Mount securely mounts into your kayak or boat, protecting your camera investment and providing a hands free solution to filming, even when fishing alone.    MSRP: $79.99

How cool is THAT nifty little set up! No more worries about dropping your expensive camera in the drink. No more missed hero shots. No more missed battles on video.

The camera holder looks super sweet and a good replacement for the handmade one I use now. It also looks as if the adapter would go right into the PVC Tee fitting mouinted to my one man pontooner boat or “tooner”. Great find.

Okay, everybody back away…Rebecca wants this.

  4. 4

Aww thanks cofisher. But technically I don’t believe I qualify to win anything since I’m running the show here at the OBN. It’s that whole employees, family of employees, cousins of employees don’t qualify to keep things fair deal.

But that doesn’t mean I can’t play along for fun, so I did =)

    So…where is YOUR picture?

Mine, labeled Youth FF and TU, was from this past summer. I look a lot younger. I released this healthy brown, using a barbless hook. I caught this in the morning fishing session at a Rivers Conservation TU camp for youth.

It was a tough choice between the three bagger trash haul photo or the Fish The Blizzard C&R brown shot. Sustainable is a far cry from optimum. Humans should reach for optimum in regards to fish population and water standards because we typically fall short of our goals.

My philosophy is “Let ‘em GO and they will GROW”. There are some incredible stories of restored fisheries and waters all around the country but we have much more work to do to restore some more and to keep them clean, free flowing and full of fish for everyone to enjoy. Great giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity.

Nice underwater shot of a perch that I took underwater. If I had a mount my camera wouldn’t get wet anymore.

Bummer I don’t know how I missed this one :) Is it too late?? Great Pics so far.
