Featured Outdoor Bloggers of the Week ~ 6/21

We’d like to introduce:

From the Outdoor Photography Category:

Check out FABirding ~ Birds and other wildlife from Surrey, UK and further afield.

So much to say here….The photography is amazing. The attention to the little details of nature are brought out on this blog and to follow up, Frank helps the viewers out with informational notes and helpful hints about his subjects. I love a blog that takes me in, shows me a different world and then explains it to me so it all comes together.

He posts frequently and this is a blog that you’d never be disappointed after a visit. Enjoy!

She's a ManiYak

Our next featured blog comes out of the Fishing/Kayak category:

Take a stroll over to She’s a ManiYak! Kayak fishing, fly fishing and other obsessions

This gal gets around. On the water that is! Her stories are always entertaining, she’s usually off on some sort of floating adventure and we are the lucky ones that get to read about her world online. Read her ‘about me’ page and you’ll feel a little tug in your heart and march directly outside to enjoy the outdoors some more.

Enjoy this wonderful blog that has the very cool blog name…we do!

Waterdog Journal

And our final blog of the week comes from the Hunting & Fishing category of the directory:

Let us introduce Waterdog JournalFishing, hunting and wandering the Fox River, northern Illinois and any other place I find interesting.

I call a blog like Ken’s the ‘package’ deal. The blog itself is nicely designed with every little detail visually pleasing, easy to navigate and before you’ve read a word you feel right at home.

Then you start reading his stories, thoughts and commentary and realize you’ve discovered a true gem in the blogosphere. His attention to writing, with every post, is inspiring.

Go see and read for yourself…..(Bonus, Ken is also part of the Four Season Angler’s Writers Network)

About Rebecca

When Rebecca isn't running the Outdoor Blogger Network, she is off Fly Fishing her favorite rivers. Occasionally she writes about those adventures at The Outdooress.

Thank you very much for the Blogger of the Week mention. If you ask friends, they’ll tell you that I’m mystified as to why anyone reads what I write.
I announced it a few weeks ago, but supposedly there will be no more delays. The official launch of the new ChicagoNow will be going online June 30th. I won’t be on there till then, but here’s what I’m getting myself into. This could be interesting.

I started my blog just to be involved with OBN. Without OBN, I would never have got to meet (online anyway) some great writers and this ChicagoNow opportunity would have never happened. Thanks Rebecca and Joe for all your hard work and for giving me opportunities beyond what I ever thought possible.

Pam, the ManiYak queen!!! So proud of you… : ) Keep paddling!!

  3. 3

Congrats you guys! My list of bloggers I need to try and read all the time keeps growing and growing and growing and….

  4. 4

Ken’s writing is why I got into outdoor writing in the first place. Without Ken there would be no FSA.

Kudos OBN for recognizing talent that is deserving.

  5. 5

I would also like to thank OBN for selecting ShesaManiYak as a featured blog! Just as Ken said, you guys were the reason I started my blog. I had thought about doing it for a while, but when I stumbled across this site I tripped right on over the edge! Thanks for bringing us all together and inspiring us to grow!

I am truly honoured to have one of my blogs featured here on OBN so soon after being accepted into the fold amongst such a diverse wealth of ‘Outdoor’ bloggers. I just hope I can continue to keep you enterained.
Many thanks to Joe and Rebecca.
