Outdoor Event Spotlight: Clif from the blog Lunker Hunt is an active participant in a great cause you won’t want to miss if you are anywhere in the area. Check out the Hooked on Fishing Park website, or, go visit Clif’s post about this Hooked on Fishing fly fishing event taking place on March 12th in East Peoria.
Clif wrote: “Hooked on Fishing is a not-for-profit park here that gives kids, seniors and handicapped people a chance to fish. They provide the gear and volunteers to help bait hooks, unhook fish and teach casting. They can also do educational programs for school field trips.” And we think that’s a great cause to get behind. Plus…the fish are HUGE! Need extra incentive to go? Read Clifs entry from last years event here: Everyone Likes a Push Over Now and Then
And now we really know it’s an event no one wants to miss, Ken G. of the Blog Waterdog Journal sent us an email about this great event too. If you are in the area, sounds like you don’t want to miss it!
Outdoor Gear Review: MNAngler of the blog Journal of a Minnesota Angler posted his review of the Frabill Pro-Thermal Tip-up Combo here. We have reposted it on the gear review log here.
