GreenFish ~ Promoting a lifestyle of sustainable fishing
Some of you may be aware of GreenFish and some of you may not, so we hope everyone takes a moment to check out their website GreenFish. I think as Outdoor Enthusiasts, we all care about the Outdoors and the impact we have–positive & negative– when we engage in our chosen outdoor activities which is why it’s easy for us to partner up with any company that promotes a positive impact to the world around us.
Greenfish is an outdoor apparel company with a bold Mission: ”To promote recreational fishing and improve our fisheries by encouraging responsible fishing practices such as catch and release and donating to organizations that work towards similar goals.”
And we think that’s a great concept to stand behind.
![]()
1) Improve our fisheries and marine environments
2) Promote responsible and sustainable fishing techniques such as catch & release
3) Promote and protect the sport of recreational fishing for future generations to enjoy

Now I’m thinking about the article. Hope they don’t get mad if I don’t support catch and release 100%
JM – not at all – we just promote MORE C&R, not 100%. Selective harvest is necessary for ongoing fisheries management. Actually – on our Home Page – we specifically say “While we dont expect all anglers to release 100% of their catch…”
Thanks for your comments!

I’m not really sure if I took it in the direction OBN and Greenfish were looking for , but I did do an article about it. Sustainable and responsible are two words that will get a saltwater fisherman’s blood boiling , especially if they’ve seen what the commercial boats are capable of. Here it is :
