OBN Notes: The Early Edition

OBN Notes

New Directory Category: We’ve added a new Category called Outdoor Literature/Poetry Blogs. If you write fiction or poetry or……? And would like to have your blog included in this category, let us know.

Outdoor Stock Photos and Photographer Opportunity: Jon Ballard, who writes Pheasant Hunters Blog, has started a new outdoor website called Hunting Stock Photos. Jon says, “We are not only looking to sell outdoor photos but if some of your bloggers are also photographers, we would love to help them make some extra income off their photography.”  So I’d say bloggers, if you have photography you’d be willing to sell, go check out the details. Jon has also set up an exclusive for OBN members seeking stock photos. (Which can be very helpful when you need a specific type photo)  Valid until 3/15/2011, OBN members can Enter the Code “OBN2011″ for 25% off any stock photo purchases.  Thank You Jon!

New Gear Review Posted: Josh Mills of the blog Chucking Line and Chasing Tail has written his review of the Badlands Superday Pack and we’ve archived it on the OBN Gear Review Log. Thanks Josh!!

The Late Show ~ Rob DevoreBlogger Interaction: I should be hush-hush about this one since it involves me personally (and I’m already nervous enough) but, Rob Devore is an OBN member, writer of the blog A Bad Backcast, has his own Kayak Radio Show and I’ll be his radio guest this Thursday night 12/23 —  11PM Eastern 8PM Pacific. It sounds like we’ll be talking about my two online distinctions. Life as “The Outdooress” and life as a co-founder of the OBN. If you are around, feel free to tune in and I’ll do my best not to botch my radio debut. Details found here: The Late Show with Rob Devore

OBN Scheduling: Joe and I have settled into what we call, a ‘routine’ around these parts, but because of the holidays all our normal features that are typically assigned to certain days have been joggled around. Next week we should be back to the regular schedule, or not, but definitely after New Years Eve. We believe in spontaneous decisions.
