For this weeks Outdoor Photo Prompt I thought I’d encourage a little bit of fun. This photo prompt is inspired by Dylan Rose who writes the always popular blog Skate The Fly. Dylan has a feature on his blog called “Hero Shots Gone Wrong” where people send him their fish pictures that didn’t quite make the grip and grin hall of fame.
So today I’m looking for “The ones We’d Like to Forget”—-The type of pictures that should technically fall into the “delete immediately to avoid personal embarrassment” code of standards, but for some reason we keep them to remind us we’re all human.
I’ll post my ‘one I’d like to forget’ to:
1) Embarrass myself
2) Provide a good example of what I’m talking about
3) Go first so no one feels like then can do worse
So lets see it…the picture that went all wrong and you were lucky enough a good buddy was standing near by and took a picture. Did someone catch you snoring in a camp chair? Falling down a hill? Wrecking on a Mountain Bike? Or maybe you took a picture of a friend that they threatened you with bodily harm if you posted it on your blog?
Go ahead, let’s see it, you can blame us…
Remember: Once you post your “The Ones We’d Like To Forget” picture, come back here and leave a comment to your blog post so we can all go visit. We promise not to laugh…too much.
Rebecca
P.S. ~ If you’ve got a great Fishing Hero Shot Gone Bad, don’t forget to submit it to Dylan over at Skate The Fly!

My 1st steelhead of 2010 did not want his picture taken! This 34″ wild buck slipped from my hands just as I was taking the pic. – http://www.oregonoutdoorexcursions.com/gallery/fish_images/34_native_steel_012910.jpg

There is literally no way you can beat my HERO FAIL. Last pic in the post.
Now, this is not a picture of me (I would never make such a fool of myself), but I did take the picture, and as luck would have it, the star of this comical pose is none-other-than Travis Brasfield of “Simply Fishing”.

I meant to enter that and got side tracked. Oh well. I swear I don’t have a chin like that … ug. Good stuff.
It’s Official
I made a write up of that day. Enjoy. We did.
