Third time is a charm and this years selection of essay submissions for the Trout Unlimited Tongass Blogger Tour 2013: sponsored by Fishpond, Tenkara USA and RIO were fantastic!!

All our winners have now been announced.

For those of you who may be curious how the winners are picked, here’s a little inside peek at how the process works:

The judges (representatives from all of the sponsors) independently read and score each submission. They are given a guideline and value system to score each submission and they enter their individual results into a spreadsheet.

Once the contest is completed, the judges individual spreadsheets and scores are all brought together, tallied, giving each entry an overall score.

The entries with the combined highest scores win. It’s pretty cut and dry!
